Launching a local delivery platform: what it takes behind the app

Customers, merchants, couriers: a delivery platform means three audiences and a back office that coordinates them. The example of Jazira Delivery.

From the outside, a delivery platform is an app where you order a meal. In practice it is a service with three audiences — customers, merchants, couriers — and most of the work happens in the tool that coordinates them.

Customer side: ordering made simple

Jazira Delivery offers an ordering website in Arabic, French and English, and a mobile app. It lists restaurants, but also grocery stores, pharmacies and florists. The order is tracked in real time and the customer can chat with the courier.

Merchant side: keeping the menu up to date

Each merchant has a menu editor. Orders arrive with printable tickets, ready for the kitchen or for picking.

Courier side: the same app

Customers and couriers use a single mobile app. The courier receives jobs, follows the route and confirms delivery.

The back office: the real heart of the service

  • Dashboard with indicators and a live courier map
  • Order dispatch
  • Couriers, groups, zones and delivery rates
  • Finance: courier and merchant settlements
  • Promotions, banners and push notifications

Zones, rates and settlements are what make a delivery service last. They are configured without development.

For your city or your brand

The platform can be deployed under your brand, for a city, a tourist area or a retail chain. Request a demo from the Jazira Delivery page.
